Fantastic is that a word I can use, as I have already informed Professor Shernaz Walton I know I can relax completely when she is in control of my treatment, both for my psoriasis and my more recent distressing ailment of Bullous Pemphigoid, with her hand at the helm I know I am assured of getting a knowledgeable, efficient, honest, caring and also important speedy solution to my problems all patiently explained to make sure I understand what is being done and why giving me a positive outlook towards my recovery which believe me at the time I desperately needed,in my opinion she is simply the best.

After seeing several GPs within my local Practice and a local consultant for a skin condition with which I had suffered for over 4 years, I was given the name of Dr Walton and recommended to see her. My hands had been sore and inflamed and would often spontaneously bleed to the point that I was unable to fasten buttons and had given up playing musical instruments. Dr Walton immediately recognised the condition and prescribed a treatment she was confident would quickly bring relief. She was correct; within a fortnight my hands were essentially free of inflammation and normal use was again possible. Dr Walton has continued to see me every couple of months since, to ensure that the condition did not return. Although I am an NHS patient Dr Walton has seen me at the Spire Hesslewood Clinic near the Humber Bridge, making appointments for mid morning but with an agreement that if I arrive early in the morning, before her normal appointments begin at 8.30am, she will see me when I arrive. This is so that I can get back to Lincoln, before my lessons begin in the School where I teach. Dr Walton explained that the original medication which was necessary to treat the inflammation when I first visited her had potentially significant side effects. When convinced that it was appropriate Dr Walton, changed my medication to something `safer` and we are now attempting to come off that and keep the condition under control with just non-prescription moisturisers. Dr Walton is however keen to keep making appointments to see me over the coming months to ensure that the withdrawal from medication is successful. I cannot write sufficiently highly of my gratitude to Dr Walton. She is clearly a skilled practitioner, but what has impressed me most is that it was at her suggestion that we come to the arrangement of seeing her outside of normal hours for my convenience. Wonderful patient care!

Attended today to have a suspicious mole removed for tests. Have to say the whole procedure was superb from the nurses in attendance and Dr. Walton herself. The excision was painless and over in a matter of minutes and she clearly explained the follow up procedures with regards to letters etc & both Dr. Walton & the nurses clearly explained the aftercare that i should undertake.

I had been referred to Dr Walton at Castle Hill Hosptial due to a suspicious mole situated on the back of my neck. Dr Walton was kind and gracious on my initial consultation and throughout the removal procedure which followed. Dr Walton made me feel at ease and relaxed during the excision, feeling confident that I was being treated by a professional. I would recommend this Lady to anyone wishing to receive quality, high standard care.
